Spiritual focus in the holiday chaos
“The journey of new monasticism requires deep quiet, deep listening, deep dialogue. It is not for those who are looking for predictable questions and reliable answers. It may yield blissful moments, but it is not feel-good spirituality It is a ferocious devotion to Love itself.” From the New Monasticism: An Interspiritual Manifesto for Contemplative Living by Adam Bucko and Rory McEntee
Commit to helping us engage the "spiritual, but not religious" with four Mondays of "New Monastic" practice. Participants will commit to the four pillars of study, prayer, service, and community and will share their experiences, struggles and joys, as they strengthen and support the group, and are strengthened and supported.
Monastic Mondays begin at 7:45pm, Monday, Nov. 29 at FIrst Presbyterian to judge the size of the group and safe meeting procedures. After that, we will meet at 7. We hope to meet in homes if possible. Join us in engaging a deeper spirituality that respects all paths toward the Holy.
