Engaging Anti-Racism: A Six Session Film Study

Lehigh Presbytery is offering a faith and film study based on dismantling structural racism. By engaging with stories on the movie screen, we hope to encourage discussions that not only raise awareness about the deep roots of racism, but also serve to inspire us to ask what work God is calling us to do next.

Join us April 19 for an introductory session that will set the scene for the five movies. We’ll watch clips and ask questions as we begin to dive deep into our own experiences with anti-racism.

Who: The discussion will be facilitated by the Lehigh Presbytery’s antiracism task force.

What: The four movies are in May, June, September, October and November (to be viewed when possible). The movies that will be viewed and discussed are: “12 Years A Slave”, “If Beale Street Could Talk", “Selma”, “Do the Right Thing”, and “The Hate You Give.”
